The MRP Detail Inquiry (23.16) for item 5001 shows the impact of new requirements for the parent end-item (01010). The system is planning work orders to assemble the probes for the orders that QMI created.
More orders for a component may become due for release earlier and for larger quantities than you expect because of a combination of factors:
• Sales orders are due in the middle of the week.
• Forecasts are due on Mondays.
• The lead time offset for assembly and purchase of components is combined.
• Demands must be combined on one planed order because of the POQ policy.
