Installed Base Utilities
A number of utility functions are provided to meet specialized needs related to installed base items. These functions enable you to:
• Move installed base items from one end user to another, either in Call Maintenance or with a separate utility
• View installed base information
• Generate marketing letters for a range of installed base items
• Create Field Notifications to manage alerting end users to product recalls
The field notification process works in conjunction with the Call Generator. There may also be times when you need to generate calls for a range of installed base items or end user/item combinations apart from a controlled field notification. The Call Generator utility can be used to generate these calls in one simple execution. This will be discussed later in
Call Generator.
