Service price lists are used to automate pricing for two critical service areas: contracts and Call Activity Recording. They are created in Service Pricing Maintenance (11.17.1).

Automated pricing through price lists is an important way for an organization to streamline and manage the financial side of service activity. Prices suggested by the system based on price lists can be changed if needed. However, price fields can be password protected so that arbitrary changes cannot be made.

Service price lists support three of the amount types used in other pricing structures. The amount type determines the way the price is calculated by the system.

Because of the way service price lists are used, not all amount types are valid on each type of list (repair, contract, and expense cost).
