Additional charges are added as separate line items in Contract Maintenance. When specified, they apply to the value of the entire contract.

The line item entry is the same for an additional charge item as a contract line item, except for the AT field. The amount type (AT) for an additional charge can be F (Fixed fee) or P (Percentage). A fixed price additional charge is a flat fee added to the service contract trailer. A percentage additional charge is a markup applied to the total for all items covered on the contract. The additional charge displays in a separate line on the contract trailer and on the contract invoice.
