Contracts billed in arrears are billed at the end of each billing cycle. For example, if you have a contract that is billed in arrears on a monthly cycle and the first period is 1/1/XX to 1/31/XX, an invoice will not be generated until 2/1/XX at the end of the monthly billing cycle.
