Pending returns can be used only for items ordered on an MO. For Pending to be set to Yes, Good must also be Yes, and Scrap must be No. Since the items being returned were taken directly out of inventory and not used, they should still be good, and should be returned to a site/location for good stock.

The pending status is used in Call Activity Recording to mark items ordered on an MO as returned. During a pending return, the return is registered against the call and allocations for the returned items are cleared. However, no inventory transfer takes place. The return must be completed later, using MO Direct/Pending Returns (11.11.8).
