Pricing for RMA issues lines and receipt lines is handled differently by the system. An item on an RMA issue line is treated just like the same item on a sales order line. This is consistent with normal business practice, which would price a replacement item the same as the one sold, minus any discount provided by service coverage or credit for a returned item.

Items returned from the end user, on the other hand, require their own price lists. A returned item is often not new (or at least most manufacturers hope it is not new). It probably is not in good condition, or at least not worth the standard list price. These price lists are derived from the service type in effect.
