Defining Holidays
Use Holiday Maintenance (36.2.1) to schedule holidays and other nonwork days that apply to shop calendars for an entire site.
To apply holidays to the domain calendar, leave Site blank.
Holidays are days that no one works; the plant is shut down and no production is scheduled. Manufacturing orders are never due and operations are not scheduled on a holiday.
Important: Your suppliers might not follow the same holiday schedule as your company, so the system does not use Holiday Maintenance records for suppliers. Instead, an additional frame in Supplier Calendar Maintenance lets you define full days for holidays. See Non-Operating Days Frame.
