Alerts
Warehouse supervisors or managers can use alerts to get notifications of potential issues before they become critical or to send automated information to customers or suppliers about their orders or shipments.
Alerts and messages are two different types of notifications. You create and send messages through QAD Warehousing programs in the Messaging Menu; however, you set up the sending of e-mails, which act as the alerts using QAD workflow software.
Users receive the alerts in their mailbox or at a QAD 2010 EE e-mail inbox. The RF device cannot receive alerts.
Users activate alerts by subscribing to them. Once a subscription exists, the system sends automated information to them. Recipients can be customers, suppliers, or warehouse staff.
For more information, see Alerts.
