Alerts
Alerts are an important part of communication within the warehouse, among several warehouses in a distributed site, or among customers and suppliers. Examples of alert notifications include the following:
• Wave, automatic, or kanban replenishment failure
• Shipment receipt, sent, or verification
• Missed, late, double, or short shipments
• Order change
• Low inventory levels
• Algorithm failure
• Picking is short or repicking failure
• Inspection or cycle count task creation or sample failure
• Cross-docking task creation
• Security: which staff member is performing which task
Currently, three customizable alerts come with QAD Warehousing:
• Shipment notification (when item is sent)
• Task creation (when pick or short are created)
• Sample Inspection Fail (when an item is rejected from inspection area)
