Alerts
Alerts are an important part of communication within the warehouse, among several warehouses in a distributed site, or among customers and suppliers. Examples of alert notifications include the following:
Wave, automatic, or kanban replenishment failure
Shipment receipt, sent, or verification
Missed, late, double, or short shipments
Order change
Low inventory levels
Algorithm failure
Picking is short or repicking failure
Inspection or cycle count task creation or sample failure
Cross-docking task creation
Security: which staff member is performing which task
Currently, three customizable alerts come with QAD Warehousing:
Shipment notification (when item is sent)
Task creation (when pick or short are created)
Sample Inspection Fail (when an item is rejected from inspection area)
