Overview

This user guide describes the compliance functionality available in PRECISION. This functionality helps your company to comply with national and international trade regulations. Failure to comply with these regulations can result in penalties.

There are a number of different ways of running compliance checks in the Web UI:

• As a workflow task within the Workflow Portal in the Base menu

• On an ad-hoc basis, accessed through the Trade Compliance menu

• As a Desktop Shipping step accessed through the Transportation Management menu

Note: For details of the compliance step in Desktop Shipping, see User Guide: TMS. The compliance process varies from company to company. The compliance manager configures PRECISION to implement the compliance process. To learn more about the compliance process within your company, consult your administrator.
