Service Manifesting Component
For the End of Day processing, the carriers are divided into those that are:
• EDI transfer
• Standard manifest
EDI transfer carriers are typically PRECISION network carriers requiring some form of electronic data communication informing them of shipments being manifested or picked up.
For TL/LTL carriers, you can create a generic manifest for the driver who collects the packages or pallets. This manifest contains basic information about the shipments being collected. To produce this manifest, you must configure a carrier to allow shipments to be batched for manifesting. Use the system value in
Configure Carrier for Manifest.
