Pamela Lopker

President & Chairman

After working with various industries developing business software, Pam was drawn to the manufacturing niche and founded QAD in 1979. Pam is responsible for shaping the vision and strategic direction of QAD. She is the driving force behind QAD's research and development efforts and ensures the entire team remains focused on the customer experience.

Pam has long been recognized for her entrepreneurship and leadership in the advancement of manufacturing software; she was named a "Hero of U.S. Manufacturing" by Fortune and received Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award, among other accolades. Pam also prides herself on being the first woman in her high school to take auto shop (at the insistence of her father before she could buy her first car). It was this experience, where she learned the importance of systems and how all the parts fit together, that sparked a deep respect for manufacturing and software.

Outside of the office, Pam has recently taken an interest in cross-country skiing, an activity where she can both soak in the peaceful beauty of her surroundings and get some great exercise. She and her husband, Karl Lopker, enjoy some friendly competitive kayaking, as well as working together to restore old houses.

So, we have a program where by the end you are APICS certified, know the product, have been on factory tours and are now an industry professional.”
