2024 Fall Product Launch, Workers

This year’s Fall product release includes significant advanced scheduling functionality, new AI driven applications, and User Experience enhancements. These updates are designed to help organizations move from where they are today toward becoming Adaptive Enterprises.

QAD Advanced Scheduling: Optimizing Production for Maximum Efficiency

With the introduction of QAD Advanced Scheduling, QAD empowers manufacturers with the foresight to understand and navigate constraints related to calendars, labor, and materials, facilitating proactive scheduling. It also provides rapid updates on material flow, highlighting misalignments in timing or quantities caused by upstream and downstream disruptions.

By enabling quicker resolutions to these disruptions, QAD Advanced Scheduling ensures that production remains on track, reducing downtime and maximizing throughput.

QAD GTTE: Pragmatic AI for Product Classification

Ensuring accurate classification of products is essential for determining duties, qualifying for trade agreements, and adhering to governmental requirements. However, this task can become a bottleneck when additional attribute details are required, often leading to delays, guesswork and inaccuracies. To address this, QAD has introduced Champion, a generative AI assistant, for Product Classification within the QAD Global Trade and Transportation Execution (GTTE) solution set.

By leveraging existing classification data, Import Entry declarations, and other relevant sources, this solution compares new data against previously classified products in an importer’s database. It returns a list of recommended Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes based on the percentage of match, allowing importers to enhance efficiency and streamline the classification process. This approach reduces manual efforts and errors, enabling businesses to start from an established classification baseline, significantly accelerating operations and improving compliance.

Pragmatic AI: QAD’s Approach to Responsible and Effective AI Integration

At QAD, the focus on AI goes beyond technology; it’s about practical, reliable, and human-centered solutions that drive tangible business outcomes. The introduction of AI/ML and further expansion of Process Intelligence into manufacturing, production and logistics is grounded in QAD’s approach to developing models specifically designed to address real-world business use cases, with a clear focus on delivering measurable returns on investment for customers.

QAD’s ongoing Pragmatic AI advancements are geared towards creating tools that are easy to use, reliable, and aligned with the strategic goals of businesses, ensuring that AI serves as a valuable asset rather than a disruptive force.

Enhancing the User Experience Across the Board

As part of QAD’s ongoing commitment to improving customer experience, the 2024 Fall Product Launch brings numerous user-centric productivity enhancements for QAD Digital Supply Chain Planning (DSCP), QAD EQMS (Enterprise Quality Management System), QAD SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) and QAD Process Intelligence. These include refined dashboards, enhanced user management, and streamlined collaboration tools, all based on direct customer feedback and feature requests. With further improvements like REST API enablement, simplified interfaces, and expanded reporting capabilities, QAD continues to deliver on its promise to create adaptive solutions that meet the evolving needs of manufacturers and supply chains.

Delivering Operational Excellence Through People, Process and System Alignment

As QAD continues to innovate and evolve its product suite, the overarching goal remains consistent: to deliver operational excellence and world-class productivity. By optimizing people, processes, and systems, QAD is dedicated to helping manufacturers and supply chains navigate the complexities of modern business, adapt to changing market conditions, and thrive in a competitive landscape.
