Installing QXtend Using YAB
These instructions are for installing QXtend on QAD EE that does not have QXtend installed; especially for installing QXtend 1.8.8 on QAD 2017 EE and QXtend 1.8.7 on QAD 2016 EE.
If you have installed QXtend 1.8.7 on your QAD 2016 EE and want to upgrade it to QXtend 1.8.8, follow the instructions in
Upgrading QXtend 1.8.7 to 1.8.8.
If you are running QAD 2016 EE without QXtend installed, follow the instructions in
Performing a Delayed Installation to install QXtend 1.8.8.
1 Start the YAB installer.
./install
The YAB installer starts.
2 Press Enter to proceed with the installation.
This installer will guide you through the process of installing QAD Enterprise Edition 2017.
The installation is being recorded in the file:
/tmp/install.b3s.log
At the prompt the ENTER key submits a response and moves to the next question.
‘!’ will enter command mode to navigate through the questions.

3 Read and accept the software license agreement to proceed. If you do not accept the license agreement, the installation stops.

4 Enter the Enterprise Edition installation location.
[Enterprise Edition 2017]
Enter the location where Enterprise Edition 2017 should be installed.

5 When prompted with Feature Selection, select QXtend and Enterprise Edition. If you installed Demo Data in the previous installation, select it also here.
An X next to a feature indicates that it will be included in the installation. To add or remove an X, type the number that corresponds to the feature and press Enter.

6 The installer prompts you to start QXtend installation. Enter y to begin the installation.

7 The installation begins. Status messages appear that show the progress of the installation.
When it shows INSTALLATION SUCCESSFUL, QXtend is installed on you system.
8 Verify that QXtend is installed.
