Services
The Services step shops for rates based on the shipment details and the delivery and carrier criteria that you specify in the Method/References step. Services Step displays the Services step.

Services Step
The step displays a table listing the available rates, as in Rates Table.

Column
Explanation
To
If you specify a mailing list in the Origin/Destination step, this column is displayed. If ALL appears in this column for a particular service, the service is available for all addresses in the partner list. If this column contains a partner code, the service is the cheapest available to ship to that particular address.
Carrier
The carrier offering the service.
Description
A description of the service.
Charge
The amount that the shipper charges the customer for shipping the items using this service.
Buying Charge
The amount that the shipper pays the carrier for shipping the items using this service.
Currency
The currency in which the charges appear.
Transit Time
An estimate of the number of days it takes to reach the destination.
ETA
Estimated Time of Arrival. The date that the shipment is expected to arrive at the destination. This column can also include an estimate of the delivery time.
Mode
The mode of transport; for example, air or road.
Service
A code that identifies the service.
Error
If the cost of the service cannot be calculated due to an error, this error code appears in this column.
Error Description
If the cost of the service cannot be calculated due to an error, a description of the error appears in this column.
A calendar appears on the right side of the screen. The current date appears in bold with a gray border. All ETA dates appear with a gray, three-sided border. If you hover over a row in the rates table, the ETA for that particular service appears with a blue border.
A Drop-off Locations section may be displayed below the calendar. A drop-off location is a building or post box where you can deposit your shipment for collection and transportation by the carrier. Use the links in the Drop-off Locations section to access carrier web sites, where you can search for drop-off locations close to you.
Display Error Messages
To display the errors and error descriptions associated with each service, select this field.
Show Summary Next?
In some cases, the Show Summary Next? field is displayed. To display the Summary step when you click Next, select this field.
To choose a carrier rate, select one of the rows in the Rates table.
