Multi languages for Trailer Codes (2.19.13)
Post Date: 11/24/13 (Gold, 117 Posts) Recent PostsWe use QAD SE2011 in Germany. So we need to print documents in different lanuages (actually german and english). We have seen no possibility to have a single Trailer e.g. 30 (Packaging) also in German.
There may be a chance to do this direct in the printing program, but this is not a flexible solution.
Also possible to create different Trailer codes for the language, but there the user have to take care, and our user says a system should do this by itself.
Daes anybody have had a similiar problem before and found a good solution?

Hi Christian,
Using QAD Reporting Framework you could e.g. define a set of labels and their translations and then use these labels while printing.

Hi Marcin; thank's for your answer, but that would mean we have to use reporting framework for printing. We discussed this and denied this solution, because the report is an additional step to de after the original printing function was executed. But I found a solution, please have a look at my direct reply.

Hi;
I got a solution from a QAD Partner, who also did our XML printing solution (with integrated e-mail functionality). They put as a part of there localisation in the printing package.
Problem solved, also for payment conditions. Unfortunately this is not Standard QAD.
