Can modules (IC, AP, etc) post real time (automatically) to General Ledger?

Is there a way to set the system to automaticall post transactions from the modules (IC, WO, AP, AR, SO, etc) real-time to the General Ledger?  We are running the posting program daily, which is not adding any value.

The only transactions I would want to have to actually "post" are those we create in the GL module itself.

We are on version SE 2012.  If no solution in this version, has anyone seen this in a later release?

SE does not support realtime posting, however, EE does support some of this.  Can't remember exactly which ones but I think it covers most of the operations modules.
You can make SE close to real time by setting up the transaction post as a batch process and then use cron to run the batch say every 15 mins
