Is there a way to update a sales order with existing or new comments that does not require actually going back into a sales order? We are trying to avoid re-entering a sales order since it will put the order back on credit hold after it has already been released.

Phil is right, but there is allways QAD solution (I won't explain what means QAD :-) ). Second solution is update. You have to find sod_cmtindx and then go into cmt_det where CMT_INDX = sod_cmtindx. But of course, this is not for regular users.
