Has anyone ever enhanced QAD to Require Expire Dates for certain items.  I knwo that you can set a shelf life so that an item has an expire date set on PO Receipt.  Our issue is that we will have some lot controlled products that our vendor keeps in large quantities.  They ship us product when we need more.  If we use the Shelf life it will just set the expire date to a number of days after receipt.  What we need is to set the expire date base don when the lot to be reecieved was manufactured.  Since this is not a QAD function, we would like to have the PO Receipt screen require the Expire date for certain inventory items.  

We could use the Shelf Life field as the trigger, but the point is that the Date that QAD assigns for the expire date will never be correct becasue the lot received expures based on when the vendor made the product, not when we receive it.
