RM Barcode Label

Hi QAD Support,

 

We are currently utilizing QAD RM Barcode Label in our warehouse wherein upon receipt our warehouse personnel will generate 2D barcode and attached to item carton.

This barcode will be used during stock transfer.

 

Business wanted to make this easier for them so they are looking into an option that supplier will generate the same barcode and make them availabe upon delivery.

Our question is that, how can we have that Barcode Information inputted to QAD system so we can use it during stock transfer.

I would have thought that if you are using a standard barcode format, say 309, then have you asked your supplier to either print labels and put them on the box, or to have them add it to their paperwork so you can scan off that.  What information apart from the part number do you need in barcode format to assist you in transfers?
