Question on Physical Inventory and Bulk Tags.

Specs:  QAD2017EE

 

When conducting physical inventory of our warehouse we often have to make corrections due to items scanned to one location that is being moved to another.  QAD has trained the team to create pack tags for the locations and then create bulk tags for the movement of items.  

So...

Inventory location A has a pack tag 001 for 24 items with Serial # 99999999

The inventory is actually in location D.  This inventory will be counted using bulk tag 002.

The tag 001 is zeroed and tab 002 is counted as 24.

The update with pack is run and the changes to 001 are recorded, but not the changes to 002.  The serial master browse shows serial # 99999999 is still in location A.

 

I have looked at the QAD knowledgebase and I cannot find anything on this issue.  I have a ticket in with QAD, but I am in dire need of resolving this issue.  WE have been live with QAD for 9 months and this has been an issue.  I am new to the issue myself.

My question is specific on one point.  How do I update inventory for a bulk tag?

Physical Inventory does not do any corrections until you run the inventory update .  And then both should be shown. If not then there could be another issue like is the location set up?, What are the rules for the inventory (eg, single lot).  When you ran the update did you make sure the range covered all tags/locations etc
