Can you continue to post about YAB releases as they happen?

Hi Tim,

All 2016EE customers should have recieved an automated notification of our YAB 1.3 patch releases as they become available via the download center. For reference the latest YAB 1.3 patch as of 6-Oct-2017 is patch 6 (yab-patch-1.3.6.2).

Since the YAB 1.3 release we have also released YAB 1.4 and YAB 1.5, but these are restricted releases and not generally available. As of September 2017, YAB 1.6 was released to support the 2017EE release, and patches to this release will be available to all 2017EE customers. However, our intention is to make YAB 1.6 generally available at a later date once we complete our validation to ensure its backwards compatible.

Thanks for your feedback to date on YAB, its encouraging to hear from our end users. If you are interested and willing to provide your email address we can contact you outside of this forum to ensure you are kept up to date of future releases.

Please do add my email to any off-line YAB related email as well.  (If you don’t have access to my account email, just reply here and I’ll get it to you via support – I try to avoid as much spam as possible.)

If I interpret your second paragraph correctly you intend on making an annoucement for YAB 1.6 release once it is also back ported.  Personally, I’d rather hear as soon as products become available.  i.e. “YAB 1.6 had been released and is available for 2017EE.  We intend to make it available for 2016EE …”

Its looks like I don't have access to your email address, so its best if you contact QAD Support and get them to pass it on to me, or request them to provide my email and contact me directly.

Either way, once we are in contact we can discuss communication plans etc. around new releases.
