Configure QXI Response

I'm wondering if it is possible to configure a standard QXI interaction to return a slightly different response document. Specifically, I'm currently using the maintainVoucher UI API Adapter and I would like to get the voucher number created by the voucher maintenance program (apvomt.p) in the response document. Is there anyway to do this? Does this require a custom API?

Solved. All I needed to do was to set the 'suppressResponseDetail' tag in the QDOC header to 'true' instead of 'false'. This gives me a response from QXtend that includes the voucher number in the 'apRef' tag.
