Where are process map style IDs stored or defined?

Post Date: 5/13/15 (Silver, 29 Posts) Recent Posts

I've already defined my own standards and practices for setting up custom process maps.  I'd like to set up that up as my own Process Map Style ID to simplify the process of creating new maps.  Any clues as to where the style IDs are stored or can be maintained?  My searching thus far has proven fruitless.

On the QAD web site, see "Services" and than "Training". Next to documentations you also have videos showing you "how to" maintain process flows. Is this what you are searching for?

No, that's not it, Raymond. I'm perfectly comfortable maintaining process flows, and in fact, went through all the process map training on the site last week (and did indeed learn several new things!). <br> If you edit a map and look at the Style Properties, there's a style ID dropdown containing entries such as Connector, Node, Plan, and Make. These represent different configurations for nodes including color, font, and so on. I'd like to establish my own Style ID so that when I add my own maps, I can utilize that Style instead of one of the QAD default ones. So I'm trying to find out where to maintain those Style IDs and definitions.

Hmm, I should get some instructions from you then... Btw I saw the changing of colors and fonts etc. This was (I think) indeed in the settings/options of the Netui interface. Since you are very much aware of the functioning of processes this may not exactly be what you mean.

*grin* Process maps are something I've come to enjoy a lot. I've done several user group presentations on things you can do with them that go way beyond the basics. Shoot me an email off-line ([email protected]) and I'll share some of them with you. QAD provides good functional maps, but you can get far more creative with them... colors, images, versioning, text... I even have back buttons on my maps. <br/> So I want to establish my own style ID instead of copying from an existing map template (my cheap way of creating new maps like existing ones).

Looks like I found it... styles are defined in WEB-INF/com/qad/desktop/resource.properties, referenced in WEB-INF/config/process-config.xml, and established in WEB-INF/config/defaults/process-config.xml. OR at least that's where I put things to make my style show up emoticon Now, to finish tweaking with things...
