Integrating MFG Pro with 3rd party applications

I am currently using QAD MFG Pro EB 2.1 ... I am planning to upgrade to latest version on Enterprise Edition...
My questions are:
1- On current MFG Pro EB 2.1 sp6, what are integration capabilities available in MFG Pro, provided that I don't have QXtend?
2- In Enterprise Edition, does it include QXtend module?
Kindly advise asap!

Hi Ahmed,
The recommended approach for integration with eB2.1 and Enterprise Edition is QXtend. You can build you integration manually using Progress code and CIM load but CIM load is not a fully supported integration toolset in Enterprise Edition.
Enterprise Edition does come with a "Limited Use" QXtend license that facilitates integration between QAD & QAD Partner application but it cannot be used to integrate third party applications. If you wish to use QXtend for 3rd party integration then a QXtend license is required.

Hi Ahmed, for any use of QXtend you have to look/ask read the manual, what QXtend can do. Basic Item Data exchange, for example, allows only Master - Slave Dataexchange, which can work for simple business cases. For more you have to "extend" the programs.
