How to set up price list for customer scheduled order

Post Date: 10/12/15 (Silver, 37 Posts) Recent Posts

Dear All,

I'm using QADEE 2014 and would like to set up the default price for customer scheduled orders. So I used 1.10.3.1 Cust Schedule Price List Maint to create a price list and set up default price for a specific item.

QAD documents shows that I have to assign the price list to a particular customer using 2.1.1 Customer Data Maintenance, but I couldn't find any fields to specify price list in 2.1.1 Customer Data Maintenance, the only one field relating to price list is Discount Tbl. I also tried creating a P type price list and assigning that price list to a customer. However, there is no effect when I create a customer scheduled order for the item set in 1.10.3.1 Cust Schedule Price List Maint.

So the question is: How does price list for customer schedule work? Did I do anything wrong or miss any setup?

Greatly appreciate for prompt responses.

Hi All,
I finally found the way a customer schedule price list works. It affects only when scheduled orders are shipped.

QAD used to have two fields on the customer master.  One for Price Tbl (L) and one for Discount (P,D or M).  Schedules do not use Price tables, only discount tables so you need to set it up a Price List (1.10.3.1) usually as a P with a min qty of 0 and a price.  You can put additional prices in but this is the minimum.  Also if you notice it is date driven.
So when you link the discount table to the schedule (either from the customer or manually) it does not do anything until you ship something.  Then each time you ship it checks to see which is the valid Price and would then update on each shipment if required without you needing to make any other changes

Hi Phil,
Thanks for response. Let me elaborate my requirement, our customer is expecting us to provide Item price, Discount price and net price in Invoice print.
eg. For Item A we got 2 Customer (cust 1 & cust2) having 2 schedule orders. Price also varies for these customers (INR 1000 for cust1 and INR 1200 for cust2).
Also discount varies (Cust1- 5% & Cust2 - 7%), i understand we can maintain discounts using 1.10.3.1 but challenge is to have 2 price list ((INR 1000 for cust1 and INR 1200 for cust2).
I also understand we can do this using discrete SO (7.3.1) but its not possible here due to certain reason and we want to restrict user to manually update list price in customer schedule order.
Is it possible to achieve this in EE-2016 without any customization?

Remember that Schedule price lists work differently to SO price lists.  When you use SO the system uses "best pricing" but wiht schedules it is linked to a price list using the discount field in the schedule.  So you could set up two different price lists in 1.10.3.1 called say schd1 and sched2.  Then on the customer you link the pricelist to the customer.
So when you create a schedule 7.3.13 it will automatically fill in the correct pricelist.  also if you press CtrlF on the pricelist field on the schedule you will see it is password controlled so you can set it so only certain people can change the price list

Hi Phil,

Thanks for advice. But our Business wants Price list / discount / net price to come automatically customer / item wise in schd order. Even we checked with QAD and looks in standard there is no such option to achieve our case.
