Event Handler not working

Hello all.
I added an Event Handler to a Business Component in order to change the default value of a checkbox to false. The event is type Pre and is active. I tried to make the change onBeforeBindData, onBindData, and onAfterBindData, but it doesn't seem that the functions are getting called at all. I have console msgs in all and non is displayed.
The script works in AUX 2.23.1.0 but not in AUX 2.26.4.0.
I can't find any reported defects related to this. Any ideas what I should look for?
