these orders can automatically go straight into the QAD ERP software?

Hi All,
Yesterday I met a potential customer in the Pharma manufacturing industry. I am recommending the QAD ERP solution to this potential customer.
Currently, this potential customer (let's call it company A) has 6 independent member companies (these 6 companies are commercial companies).
Every day, these 6 member companies send orders to company A. In total there are about 80-100 orders (they send orders via WhatsApp tool).
However, for each subsidiary ordering, the product code of each subsidiary is different, and the product code of each subsidiary is different from the product code of company A.
The current problem is that when company A receives such an order, the production planner will use his experience to look at that order and see the explanation/notes of each ordered product of each product. Subsidiaries. They will manually create production orders for each item on company A's software (company A is using locally developed software).
The question is: How, when Company A receives orders from those 6 subsidiaries, can Company A easily track which company the order is from and track the production order for each order? products of each subsidiary? and Is there any way that when 6 subsidiaries place orders, these orders can automatically go straight into the QAD ERP software?
Looking forward to sharing your experiences soon!
Thanks in advance
Vinh

With limited information I would suggest that the orders could be entered as Sales orders where the customer, ship-to and customer part number would be recognized and these sales orders would drive MRP to produce production orders. However, you need to understand the full business process relationship of order-to-cash. Hope this helps.

Is company A also going to switch to QAD?
Do the subsiduaries use different part numbers but they are all the same in Company A?
If they are using the same part number at company A to represent different products then it gets a little more difficult as QAD is not a true MTO system, so even though you can create the orders as MTO it will not automatically link it to the customer

Hi Phill,
I am consulting and convincing them to use QAD !
To answer your question, I will give you an example to help you understand better
6 subsiduaries use different part numbers, for example:
Company 1: uses part number ABC123
Company 2: uses part number XYZ345
Company 3: uses part number AABBCC
Company 4: use part number YYXXZZ
Company 5: uses part number 345XX123
Company 6: use part number TTAAZZ
However, company A, they use the only part number !
The Planning department (from their personal experience) received these PO from 6 subsiduaries and they created sales order manually on local software.
Do you have any ideas/solutions?
Thanks

If what you say is correct then it is standard QAD. You just need to set up customer part numbers to cross reference to the manufactured part number. The SO would display both and combine all demand into one order for manufacturing. They would still need to create the SO and can do so with the customers number.
