Expired Sales Order Lines Showing As Valid Purchase Order Options

We received a ASN rejection from one of our customers because we built a shipper and referenced an expired PO Number. When we go into Pre-Shipper / Shipper Workbench >> Item Information >> Purchase Order Look Up >> We are seeing PO numbers associated with Sales Order Lines that have an elapsed End Effective Date.
In this instance, the end effective date was 02/01/2022. Is there a way to prevent PO numbers associated sales order lines that have expired End Effective Dates from showing as valid PO numbers to select?
